New York- It was announced today that former LSU and NFL star Booger McFarland will be replacing Jason Whiten as the color analyst for Monday Night Football’s 50th season. McFarland will team up with Joe Tessitore for the ESPN Broadcast.
It was also announced that throughout the broadcast each Monday night, McFarland will be hooked to a Trapeze Harness and will actually fly out of the broadcast booth to hover overhead during the game to capture a birds eye view of the action. McFarland will have the ability to fly all over stadiums to deliver color commentary from angles never before seen by a member of a broadcast team. He’ll also be hovering high up to nosebleed sections of stadiums to interview fans during games and then will be quickly propelled back over the field once the next play starts. This will be the first time in NFL history that a color analyst will be flying around a stadium during a live broadcast.
