Baton Rouge, LA (FP)- Several SEC schools will be selling special passes for fans to storm the field in the form of coded wristbands for the upcoming season.
The price for each pass is $175.00 plus processing fees and will only be available at stadium entrances on game day. The passes are to be sold for games where the home team has a potential to upset a highly ranked opponent which will be determined each week by the home University. The passes are limited to 40,000 fans and will allow on-field access to celebrate for 30 minutes after the game in the event of a major upset.
Funds generated by the sale of these passes will be used to help offset fines imposed for storming the field by the SEC office. Fans who are caught storming the field without the special wristband will be arrested and charged with a felony.
